KIRSTEN HEWITT – Darhan
During the first couple of weeks of school here I have needed the reminder of waiting on the Lord to give new strength; strength like the eagle that soars because of the storm not in spite of it. Though their were times this last month when I was tempted to seek shelter from the ’storm’ from any possible place, and at other times I felt like I was surely heading into the wind rather than soaring along with it; yet I have now perhaps come to the end of that lesson and am rejoicing in the new strength He has provided because of the storm. Please pray that God would continue to provide me with wisdom and that even when I am hurt that I would see things as they truly are and respond in a loving fashion.
LARRY AND KRISTA LAIN – Darhan
1. PRAISE GOD AS WE MOVE:
-Praise God for contentment in the Lord as we trust in HIS Sufficiency as we move out of the ger and settle into our new location in the apartments October 1st.
-Pray for us physically, emotionally, and spiritually as we experience all these changes and adjustments this month.
2. PRAISE GOD FOR OUR LANGUAGE STUDY:

-Praise God for lots of GRACE poured out on us as we wrestle to learn the language! Pray that we would continue to wrestle through language study with determination and a prayer much like Jacob’s: “We will not let go until you bless us…with supernatural language ability!!!
3. PRAISE GOD FOR OUR RELATIONSHIPS
-With God: During our transition we are learning to experience God in a new culture. Pray for lots of time to rejoice in His love!
-With our Team members: Pray for bonding opportunities and PEACE.
-With new Mongolian friends: Pray for time to hang out with friends and for patience and understanding.
-With each other: Pray for our marriage and lots of quality time with our children.
JASON LEE AND RUTH KIM – Ulaanbaatar
1. Pray for Angel’s health that God will restore and strengthen his immune system.
2. Pray that Jason and I will remain strong for the Lord. Good relationship, loving and
encouraging words for each other and caring for each other’s needs.
3. Our tenants from US are leaving as of October 31. Pray that God will provide more
permanent and stable tenants. We really can’t be distracted with things in the US.
I know God has already found someone for us… but as our bank account balance
gets low, you started to worry.
4. Pray that we will open our hearts, pockets, house to serve the Lord. Pray that
we will be able to make some connection with our neighbors. They probably already
think that we are one crazy family with all that yelling, screaming, loud laughter, singing and stinky foods!
BRENT AND LISA LIBERDA – Darhan
1. We praise the Lord for a good vehicle that is paid off, and for the tremendous support we continually receive from so many of you! Thank you!
2. We also praise the Lord for this time to focus mostly on language study. We’re blessed to have this time to focus on language, and next year at this time we will probably be pleading for MORE routine…but daily, intense language study can be tedious and taxing. Pray also that as we enter into the routine of study that we would maintain the daily disciplines necessary to remain spiritually, physically, and mentally strong.
3. Pray that as our language abilities increase we would also find open avenues for ministry and relationship building with Mongolian people. Language study can be somewhat of a narrow valley to walk, and we want to keep our eyes open for opportunities on the larger landscape, so that we can begin intentionally branching out into ministry involvement with the time we have outside of language study.
4. Pray that Malachi and Isaiah would continue to be motivated and to do well in school, and that they would be excited about learning many new things. Pray that they would develop good friendships with their classmates.
DENNIS AND MARILYN MAVES – Ulaanbaatar
1. Praise the Lord for the strategic prayer team that will be here in Mongolia September 28 to October 6.
2. Pray as we prepare documents for the renewal of our approval to operate in Mongolia as CAMA Services. A new government is in place and all the regulations have changed. Pray that we will be able to meet all the requirements.
4. Pray for the health of us and our teammates. Many have been struggling with sickness these past weeks. Pray for God’s divine health for us all.
5. Praise the Lord we have found a location for a student center in the heart of the University belt. Pray that God will lead and direct in the ministries of the student center.
6. Pray for the church in Ulaanbaatar. They are going through some difficult leadership issues. Pray that God will give them wisdom and a burden for outreach and evangelism.
7. Pray for Dennis and Marilyn as we will begin teaching at least one ESL class in October.
8. Pray for the young doctor, Bataa, who Dennis meets with. He is open to hearing the good news.
9. Pray that we will continue to find balance and margin in our life in all the responsibilities we have as Field Director Couple of the CAMA Mongolia Field.
10. Pray for our daughter JoAnna and her husband. They are expecting their second child at the end of September. Pray for the safe delivery of a healthy baby. Also for their son Silas (20 months) who has broken his leg and is in a cast. Marilyn will be going to spend time with them and help out during this special time.

1. Praise God for the work done by the Los Angeles Sarang Community Church short term medical team with 8 members, lead by Dr. Joung Uoong Lee. This team worked with us for one week Sept 1 -7, 2008. We give praise and thanks to the Lord for the hard and faithful work done by the team members and the fruitful labor the Lord gave. We also praise God for the good work, the faithful support, the generous supplies given to the health project by all other short term medical dental teams this year.

3. Please pray for the Youth Centre. We have an average of 30 young people visiting ABTC daily, with different activities such as basketball, volleyball, table tennis and badminton. Also classes in needlework, cooking and English. We are busy developing a reading room, but because of a lack of books, could not put this part of the plan into action yet. Pray that we will be able to accommodate all the young people who are interested, and that they will be open to also come to the Youth Fellowship at church.

4. Please pray that God would provide opportunities for us to minister even with our limited language.
5. Please pray for us that we would adjust to the colder weather headed our way.
