May is graduation month in Ulaanbaatar. The 250 some-odd universities and colleges in the city will parade their graduates around town with balloon-clad buses, celebrating the successful completion of their course of study. Mongolian people are pleased with their diplomas and certificates.
CAMA Mongolia recently had a graduation of our own. Dennis and Marilyn Maves have been running an English as a Second Language (ESL) class. The 16 week class containing 10-15 students each week just finished and eight of those students actually graduated with certificates of completion. The students were pleased to complete the class, and are now looking for ways to practice their new-found English speaking skills. A new class will start back up again in the Fall.
