Prayer Needs

Prayer Requests for February 2008

1. Our Regional Director just arrived and will be with us until February 11. We will be travelling with him and he will have the opportunity to meet with all our teammembers in the place where they are and to see our projects and ministries that we have here. Pray that this is a great time for him to get to know all of us better, and to understand more about our life and work here.
2. Pastor Jack and Diana Stimmel and Homer and Diana Madison from Menomonie Alliance Church are here from February 13-22. During their time here, they will lead our all team prayer retreat February 15-17. Also pray for our second annual College of Prayer for Mongolian church leaders and members from February 18-20.
3. Pray for wisdom as we prepare and plan for summer ministries and short term teams.
4. Pray for good health for us and our team. We have been struggling with a lot of sickness through this coldest part of the winter. Pray especially for us and others in Ulaanbaatar where the pollution from the burning of coal in the winter time is very bad.
5. Pray that God would raise up funding for our multi-purpose ministry center in Ulaanbaatar.
6. Pray for each of our language teachers, Bagnaa and Odnoo, that God will open up opportunities to share with them about our life in Christ.

Our Family
February 1 is JoAnna and Trevor’s son, Silas’ first birthday. It is fun to see how much he is growing and all the things he is learning each day. Jonathan and Rachael and Eva are excited that Eva will be a big sister this coming June. Their family is growing! Joy is doing well at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. Their ministry time in Haiti during the month of December went very well and they are planning to go back some time this year to minister there again.

Prayer Requests for January 2008

1. Praise the Lord for a great joint Christmas fellowship we had with our Mongolian co-workers. Pray for them as they seek to serve the Lord and the church in sometimes very difficult situations.
2. Pray that we will continue to grow in intimacy and passion for God in our personal walk with Him.
3. Pray for the short term vision team (Pastors and District Worker) from the Central Pacific District that will be here from January 8-16. Pray that God will use this time to impact them and show them ways that they might be able to partner with our field.
4. Pray for our continued part-time language study. It is a challenge!

Prayer Requests for December 2007

1. Thank you for praying for our all-staff weekend Nov. 23-27. It began with a delicious turkey dinner. We had good times of sharing, prayer and team building. Continue to pray that God will unite our hearts together as we serve here together in Mongolia.
2. Pray for the Christmas concert/outreach in our UB church on December 23 as we celebrate Christ’s birth in this country that does not celebrate Christmas.
3. We will be having a joint fellowship with our mission staff and Mongolian church leaders on December 22. Pray that God will use this to encourage them as they struggle to minister in difficult situations.
4. Now that we are through our busy summer and fall, we have started again with our part-time language study. Pray that God will quicken our minds as we desire to learn the Mongolian language.
5. Pray for our daughter Joy who will be on a ministry trip to Haiti December 5-17. Pray for them as they minister to pastors, church leaders and the people of Haiti.
6. Pray for us as we are away from our family this Christmas season. We are thankful for the mission family that God has given us here.
