PRAY FOR CAMA MONGOLIA MAY 2011

Bernie and Renee Anderson – Home Assignment (USA)
Pray for…
1. All four of us to have a consistent, fervent walk with Jesus.
2. Jonathan, as he seeks the Lord’s direction for his summer work and living situation
3. Our family and we prepare for our return to Mongolia on June 24th. Pray for this transition, as Bernie, Renee’ and Cori will be returning and Jonathan will be staying in the US to work and attend school.
4. Spirit-filled Mongolian leaders who will serve the church with strength, humility and gentleness.

Jeremy and Renee Bergevin – Darhan
1. Please pray for our transition to life and ministry now in DARHAN, Mongolia. Jeremy will be working to establish a Food for Work project through the CAMA center in Darhan and Renee will be doing some accounting and homeschooling while praying about her long-term ministry here.
2. Please pray for our health. Jeremy has been ill for many months this winter and needs a healing touch from God.
3. Please pray as we join a Mongolian fellowship here that God would encourage the believers and do a mighty work in the community through His Holy Spirit.
4. Please pray as we establish new relationships and friendships that God would give us divine appointments and Kingdom perspective.

Alison Dench – Darhan
Praise God that Mughi and I met with the Darhan Education Department Head last week.
He was quite dismissive of us – so I don’t think God is opening that door right now.
My prayer is for wisdom as we set up the right classes for the new September school year. During the June-Aug summer I will run TOEFL modules in Darhan and UB.

Jeremy and Krista Fields – Hovd
Please pray with the Fields:
for a new full-time worker to train local deacons and lead in expanding our financial outreach to local Darhan churches
for wisdom and divine breakthrough as we continue experimenting with driven wells in Hovd
for the meaningful completion of our financial courses in Darhan and Hovd, with a clear gospel witness, and a clear means of evaluating participants’ progress over this next year
for finishing up our homeschool year, discerning which areas to continue preparing our kids for school in the States, and great mountain adventures every weekend!
for a knitting of hearts, and a foundation of faith, as the Kazakh Council attempts to overcome the first huge hurdles of registration and budgeting

Karen Hessel – IWK teacher – Darhan
Praise
-that our ending DMK School Open House went really well. The kids did a great job and it was a nice time of being able to say “thanks” and offer “blessings” to the whole MK School student body, their families, and our great crew of supporters and helpers.
-that I’ve got a car my church has been able to arrange for me to use when I first get back to the States.
Prayer requests
-that this ending week for Malachi, Isaiah, and Levi and then my last 3 weeks with Annika and Toby will be really good ones.
-that God will give me special wisdom and creativity for planning well these ending times.
-that God will prepare the way for me returning to the States in mid-June–for details like getting a phone and a new driver’s license and big picture things like my heart and mind being open to all that God has for me.
-that God will help me to set-up well the new teacher and new student body at the DMK School for next school year.

Larry and Krista Lain – Hovd
1. RELATIONSHIPS
Pray for ENCOUNTERS with the Lord overflowing into our Community
Pray for family and team relationships to grow as we have more time this summer (Kids are finished with school May 12th!)
2. FITNESS MINISTRY
Pray for Mighty Men’s classes in the evenings. It is planting season so many of the guys are really tired!
Pray for Women’s class in the mornings. Usually 3-5 women come to workout with Krista for a boot camp style aerobics class in our tiny room with limited equipment.
Pray for the other foreigners here in town that come and workout in the morning before the women’s class.
Pray for a potential partnership with a local school. They plan to start building a new basketball court, soccer field, bleachers and a fitness building this month. We are praying about providing equipment and in return using their space for our fitness club in the evenings.
3. LANGUAGE STUDY
Praise Him!!! Krista’s language teacher is professing faith and learning more everyday. Pray for Krista as she hopes to disciple her this summer with hopes to start a study with other women as well.
4. ADOPTION
We finally got word from the orphanage director. Unfortunately, the director has been battling with the government on behalf of our daughter (and adoption in general). Although this has caused many delays, it seems that everything is panning out. There is still one more piece of paperwork that needs to be signed by the local government before our file is sent to the capital in Addis.
Basically this means that we have no idea how long it will be before we get court dates. PLEASE PRAY!
I am encouraged when I imagine angels charging down from heaven every time we pray on behalf of our daughter, Acacia, and all the other children in Ethiopia! Praise Him that He is a Victorious WARRIOR and He is sending Armies of Angels to fight injustice! (Isa 42)

Jason and Ruth Lee – Ulaanbaatar
Pray that the school will continue to grow and that the house church will reach out to their community. We have over 30 people attending the Amgalant House Church. We will begin a Sunday School for the children in coming week.
3. Please pray for Peter, Hanuel and Angel. Please pray for the goodness in their hearts and kindness toward Mongolian children.
4. Please pray for Ruth’s dad as he continues to recover from the stroke. Please pray for Ruth’s mom and younger sister who are taking care of him. Pray for wisdom, strength, health and lots of patience.
5. Please pray for Hawaiian team who will be coming in June to help us with our first VBS. We are expecting about 60 children from our CAMA schools to attend a week long VBS.

PRAY FOR CAMA MONGOLIA FEBRUARY 2011

Bernie and Renee Anderson – Home Assignment (USA)
Pray …
1. That all four of us would have a consistent and passionate relationship with Jesus.
2. For tour ministry this spring in the Central Pacific, Southern and South Atlantic Districts.

Jeremy and Renee Bergevin – Bulgan
Please pray for our house to sell and for the logistics of our move.
Please pray for friends and neighbors we see during Lunar New Year feasts.
Praise the Lord for health, regular support for our every need, for the privilege of representing Him.

Alison Dench – Home Assignment (Australia)
My prayer request is for a visa – in time to get back to Mongolia in February.

Jeremy and Krista Fields – Hovd
Pray
for discernment as we choose a site to establish roots and re-build a “home” (community center) together with the scattered Kazakh people… and for a good price!
for breadth and depth of relationships as we network through projects and visit neighbors, and for a bold prayer witness
for God to break through into this peoples’ heart with instant healing power, as well as through the faithful planning and righteousness of a new core group of Kazakh leaders
for spiritual growth and physical health (-30s every night this January!), especially as our family travels Feb 16-28 to UB and Darhan

Karen Hessel – IWK teacher – Darhan
I will soon be sending a letter to my condo. association to ask for an additional 2 year rental extension (selling is not a viable option at all). They have already granted me an extra year beyond the one hardship year the by-laws allow. In Thailand, I felt God specifically directing me to seek a new 2 year contract here and an additional 2 year rental extension. I now need God to move in a really powerful way to give me supernatural favor with my condo board.

I’m on my third cold/flu thing since Thailand and frankly, it’s getting old! Would appreciate prayers for healing and general health protection. Also for extra energy needed to keep teaching and loving my kids well, as well as handling a number of school and life responsibilities that have stacked up.

Larry and Krista Lain – Hovd
PRAISE GOD:
1. We have been given permission to adopt our little girl!!! Hallelujah!!! (We just got word today!) Although there have been lots of delays, the paperwork is moving ahead…please pray that it moves ahead QUICKLY!
2. For the Adoption grants that have come in totaling 17,000 dollars, which covers most of the expenses besides travel!!!!
3. Fitness Project: We have been able to import some gear thanks to many friends giving to our work special and teammates in the capital sacrificing time to aid in receiving the equipment.
4. For having the opportunity to visit many families last month and practice our language!!!
5. We are staying warm!!!
PLEASE PRAY:
1. We are still raising funds for our adoption to buy plane tickets from Mongolia to Ethiopia and then to the U.S. ($8-12,000). Also, we are still waiting to hear back from CHI about our travel dates. Again, please pray for a supernaturally speedy process!!!
2. Fitness Project: IT’S COLD! Two fires a day in our little gym at -40 isn’t really cutting it, but PTL men are still coming! We are being limited by the weather and also by space. Please pray as we seek a new location before next winter (Actually, it would be nice to have a location way before then).
3. Kazakh language: Krista and I are trying to visit two Kazakh families in our community separately each week and visit a new family every Saturday with the kids. Pray for our ability to communicate and especially for listening comprehension.
4. Larry’s Dad is in Iraq as a Chaplain’s Aid with the USAF. Please pray for protection and safety and for Larry’s Mom while she is at home taking care of many grandkids!
Thank you so much for all your prayers! We serve an AWESOME God who HEARS and ANSWERS your prayers!!! Thank you for your faithfulness as HE is always FAITHFUL through you!

Jason and Ruth Lee – Ulaanbaatar
2. Praise the Lord for CAMA children’s program in Amraglant! There are 10 children registered and the teachers’ were paid their first salary this week through the program. They also began to pay back the program set-up loan, tithe and utilities.
3. Praise the Lord for Ruth’s dad and his remarkable recovery from the stroke in September. Thank you for all your prayers!
6. Each one in our family will grow in his/her relationship with Jesus.
Thank you for praying!

Dennis and Marilyn Maves – Ulaanbaatar
1. Pray for our Mongolian staff. We have gone through some difficult situations, and are feeling the attack of the enemy of these young believers. Pray that they will grow in their faith through these difficulties, and that they will allow God to do the work that He wants to in their lives.

Marvin Pitman – Hovd
Pray for Kazakh language study and the continued learning of Kazakh culture.

Pray for the students who attend classes every week, also the students who come from far for the monthly weekly training.
Pray for the members of Nigdovnigon Church, for the women who find it very difficult to get their husbands to come to church, but also for all the new young believers of the church. The youth group is growing under Tuya’s leadership.
Pray for some of the women and children in church who struggles at home with abusive husbands/fathers because of alcohol abuse.

Erik and Christina Wahlen – Ulaanbaatar
Praise God with us for:
1. Successful placement testing for the English classes at the Grain of Wheat Center. Christina and Marilyn Maves are very excited about having a large representation of the mid to upper class and mostly non-believers. Please pray for wisdom for them as they seek to share their faith but have to be so careful without a religious visa.
2. Two new staff members at the Grain of Wheat – a full-time barista, Ariuka and a part-time barista, “Gary”. They are both strong believers and are a great asset to our team. Both are interested in studying in our training program for CLTC.
3. How He is working in the midst of some really hard times.
Please pray with us for:
1. Wisdom. We have had some really hard situations this past month that directly affect the church.
2. Against discouragement. We know that we are being attacked because God is working, but it is still easy to be discouraged – we feel your prayers!
3. Broken marriages of our Mongolian staff. These hard situations have the potential of ripping two families apart. Please pray for restoration.

Mark and Cinda Wood – Darhan

Alison Dench – Home Assignment (Australia)
My prayer request is for a working visa early Feb.

Jeremy and Krista Fields – Hovd
Please pray for:
• Health and joy for our family as winter sets in.

Karen Hessel – IWK teacher – Darhan
Pray:
That God would make it really clear what I am to do about my condo, my finances, and my future. (The price of condos in my neighborhood has actually dropped since I left, so my only obvious option right now is a “short sale”–which isn’t impossible but difficult and messy. I really, really need God to make it clear what He has for me and what I should do. Some kind of “condo miracle” would be preferable!)

That I would wisely and lovingly guide my kids in the next 2 months of school. Praise–that I daily love what I’m doing and daily grow in love and appreciation for my amazing and precious kids.

That my trip over Christmas break to Thailand would go really smoothly, that it would be a great time of R & R, and that God would really do something as I spend time with my great friend, Kerri, who is not a believer (may I be a source of love and light to her).

Larry and Krista Lain – Hovd
Pray that our roots would continue to grow down into His Love
Pray for continued interest for Larry’s Fitness Project and that a community of Mighty Men would be established that desire Physical as well as Spiritual Health. Also pray as Krista hopes to start an aerobics class in January with Kazak women.
Pray for our Language Study. Pray for more language helpers and opportunities to meet and talk with our neighbors.
Pray for our children’s schooling and meeting Kazak and Mongolian friends through extra-curricular activities(Dance and Tae Kwon Do)
Pray for our adoption. We need to raise 12-15,000 dollars through grants, friends, and family before February. We are hoping for adoption funds rather than Christmas presents! Our new daughter is the best Christmas present we could ask for!!! (If you are interested in donating funds toward our adoption you can go to our blog and click on the paypal donate button… www.thelains.blogspot.com OR send a check to our MI address…more info on our blog!)

3. Please pray for our house church. We have moved everything to a new school, so, the church will likely move as well. Please pray that the new church reaches out to the neighbors.
